PERTH, Australia (7 September 2016) – Spok, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Spok Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPOK) and the global leader in enterprise critical communications, today announced an ongoing partnership with Progility Technologies, an Australia-based enterprise integrator of unified communication solutions. Together, Spok and Progility help solve multiple challenges across different areas and departments of the hospital with one unified technology platform, Spok Care Connect® .
Spok Care Connect includes solutions for clinical alerting, web directory, on-call rostering, secure smartphone messaging, and contact centre optimisation. In conjunction with Progility’s services, these solutions integrate with existing workflows and enable hospitals to deliver information quickly and securely into the hands of the clinicians who need to act on it.
“Our goal is to put the patient at the centre of communications, giving clinicians the technology necessary to focus on quality outcomes, and for the organisation to focus on increasing patient satisfaction,” said John Jordan, Spok’s regional vice president – APAC. “We are excited to be partnering with Progility to help hospitals across Australia do just that.”
Spok and Progility have recently worked together on a number of healthcare clinical alerting projects across Australia. By automatically sending critical alerts from hospital systems such as nurse call and patient monitoring to staff’s mobile communication devices, hospitals have been able to improve staff productivity and workflow, as well as patients’ comfort and safety.
“We are proud to partner with Spok in helping hospitals evolve their approach to clinical messaging as they move their technology strategy from having multiple and disjointed systems, to a single platform,” said Campbell Johnston, Progility’s chief executive officer. “The more easily information can flow among clinical systems and caregivers, the better the patient care can become.”
