Spok and Softcat Partnership Enables More Efficient Workflows For NHS Trusts
LEEDS, United Kingdom (17 December, 2015) – Spok, Inc. today announced that it has partnered with Softcat plc to enable NHS organisations to enhance efficiency and safety with better staff communications. With this partnership, Softcat will deepen its product portfolio by offering technology from Spok to improve processes such as clinical alerting, critical test result delivery, patient alarms, nurse call alerts, secure messaging, and on-call roster management. The partnership also allows Softcat to offer Spok’s solutions and services through approved government framework contracts.
“We are delighted to have a strong, IT brand like Softcat as a strategic healthcare partner in the UK as we start a new chapter in our channel partner program here at Spok,” said Steven Armstrong, Spok’s regional vice president – EMEA. “Softcat’s enviable growth within the healthcare sector is testament to its desire to offer differentiated solutions to its client base. Together we will be able to equip NHS hospitals with unified critical communication solutions that enable caregivers to improve efficiency, deliver cost savings, and ultimately, improve patient outcomes.”
In hospitals, a complex mix of clinical, safety, and other communication systems constantly generates updates, alerts, and key pieces of information. But unless this data is gathered and delivered quickly to the appropriate team members on their preferred devices, it’s useless. Softcat works with NHS facilities to implement innovative new technology to address the varied needs of healthcare organisations.
“By partnering with Spok, we are able to support acute trusts and secondary care providers throughout the UK in their efforts to automate clinical workflows and secure communications using Spok’s full suite of integrated solutions,” said Mark Brazington, partner alliance manager – Softcat.
