Amcom Software Enhances Physician Communication With Release of Amcom Care Connect

MINNEAPOLIS – February 28, 2012 – Amcom Software, Inc. today announced the release of its new Amcom Care Connect solution, which enables caregivers and physicians to communicate more effectively. The solution was developed with input from healthcare customers who report that patient care would be improved by speeding communications among doctors and staff members. The physician communication solution integrates with Amcom's Web directory and on-call scheduling solutions, as well as its smartphone and tablet messaging solution. Because of this tight integration, it leverages existing contact and schedule information to provide much-needed physician communication capabilities within the framework of familiar technology.

Amcom Care Connect solves the problem of helping clinicians get in touch by allowing them to simply dial one local number and speak either the person's name or role. The solution accomplishes this by factoring in the type of communication, date and time, urgency, and person making the request to determine whether the request should be routed to a smartphone, home phone, colleague, or voicemail.
