Meet the Leadership Team at Spok, Inc.
Vincent D. Kelly
Kelly has been a leader in the communications industry for more than 25 years with extensive experience in strategic planning, M&A, and regulatory and financial matters. Kelly became a director, President and CEO of USA Mobility, Inc. (now Spok) in November 2004 when the company was formed through the merger of Metrocall, Inc. and Arch Wireless, Inc. Kelly was previously President and CEO of Metrocall beginning in February 2003. Prior to this appointment, he had also served at various times as the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Executive Vice President of Metrocall since joining the company in 1987. He served as the Treasurer of Metrocall from August 1995 to February 2003, and served as a Director of Metrocall from 1990 to 1996 and from May 2003 to November 2004. Kelly also serves as the President, CEO, and Director for all of the company’s subsidiaries, except for GTES, LLC, an indirect wholly owned Canadian subsidiary, for which Kelly is a director. Prior to joining Metrocall in 1987, Kelly worked as a certified public accountant. He has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from George Mason University.
Goel, a seasoned business executive with 27 years of global experience and proven success in healthcare information technology, brings a comprehensive set of management, technical, and product development skills to his role as President. Goel joined Spok from Siemens Health Services, where he was Vice President, Clinical Solutions, with worldwide development responsibilities for the Company’s sizable Clinical IT solutions business. In this position, he successfully managed the organization’s operations, product portfolio, innovation and strategic growth, resulting in higher revenue, expanded market share, and improved customer retention. Goel also led a major software acquisition for the Company. Before Siemens Health, Goel was Enterprise Vice President and General Manager, Radiology, Cardiology and Enterprise Imaging at Cerner Corporation, where he managed worldwide sales and development of this business unit. Previously, he was Senior Vice President, Business Development, Sales and Marketing at StorCOMM, Inc., and, prior to that, served in various management positions at IMNET Systems, Inc., First Data Corporation, and Unisys Corporation. Goel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur, India, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the McColl School of Business at Queens University in Charlotte, N.C.
Chief Financial Officer
Endsley was appointed CFO of USA Mobility (now Spok) in September 2010 and is responsible for the financial management of the company. Endsley was previously the Controller and Chief Accounting Officer beginning in May 2005. Metrocall Holdings, Inc., a predecessor to the company, hired Endsley as corporate controller in June 2004. Prior to joining the company Endsley had more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry with financial or consulting positions at several publicly traded companies. This experience included Qwest Communications International Inc.; a predecessor company, LCI International, Inc., both domestic telecommunications providers (1989-1999); and Global TeleSystems, Inc., an international provider of communication services (1999-2001). Endsley provided consulting and forensic accounting support at a large telecommunications company from 2002-2004. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Ohio Northern University and a Masters of Business Administration from The Ohio State University. He is also licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Chief Information Officer
Saine is an accomplished technology executive with a long track record of delivering operational excellence, cost management and innovation. He has been the Chief Information Officer of USA Mobility (now Spok) since August 2008 providing executive leadership for the company’s Information Technology and Wireless Messaging Network teams. Prior to his current position, he was the Chief Technology Officer beginning in October 2007. Saine rejoined the company in August 2007 as Vice President of Corporate Technology Operations. Previously, he had served the company as Vice President, Technology and Integration from November 2003 through June 2005. He has held senior technology leadership positions with Northrop Grumman Corporation, WebLink Wireless, and MobileComm. Saine has more than 25 years of operations, engineering and technology management experience. He currently serves on the Board of Spok Canada, Inc. (formally GTES, Inc.). He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He has a Bachelor of Science in Management from California Coast University and a Masters of Science in Engineering Management from Columbus University.
Sharon Woods Keisling
Corporate Secretary and Treasurer
Woods oversees Spok’s treasury operations, facilities and legal and has over 25 years of experience in the communications industry. Woods joined Metrocall, Inc. in August 1989 and was appointed Corporate Secretary of USA Mobility, Inc. (now Spok) in July 2007 and Treasurer in October 2008. She was named Vice President of Treasury Operations with the merger of Arch and Metrocall. Prior to this appointment, Woods held positions in Accounts Receivable and IT where she was instrumental in implementing cyclical billing. She has expertise in training and designing efficient treasury systems that align with corporate business strategies. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Kings College.
Executive Vice President, Global Sales
Soucy has more than 20 years of experience in enterprise healthcare software sales and leadership. He joined Spok from Orion Health, where he was Vice President of Sales, National Accounts. Previous to that, he was Senior Vice President of Sales for Influence Health (formerly MEDSEEK) where he managed all new business development efforts in the United States and Canada. He has also held sales leadership positions with RelayHealth (a division of McKesson), SoftMed Systems, StorCOMM, Inc., and Lanier Healthcare. Soucy has extensive experience with building and leading high-performing sales teams and in forging long-lasting relationships with customers. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University in Los Angeles.
Executive Vice President, Human Resources
Culp has been responsible for strategic human resource planning and human resource policy development at USA Mobility (now Spok) and its predecessor company, Metrocall, Inc., since 1997. She oversees corporate and regional human resource and payroll operations. In addition, Culp assumed the role of Chief Compliance Officer in October 2007 and oversees the Ethics Program and related compliance activities. Prior to joining the company, Culp was a consultant with the Hay Group, a global human resources management consulting firm where she provided advice and services primarily to organizations undergoing large-scale organizational change. She has expertise in designing and implementing cost-effective human resource systems that align with and support the business strategies of the organization. Culp has more than 25 years of experience in human resource management and operations, including more than 12 years in senior management positions. Culp is a graduate of Saint Francis College with a Master of Arts in Industrial Relations.
Senior Vice President of Marketing
Scott is a healthcare marketing professional with more than 25 years of marketing, sales, and product management experience in the technology and healthcare industries. She leads Spok's worldwide marketing initiatives as the company expands its presence and educates its audience on the value of its offerings. Previously, she was Assistant Vice President of Marketing Strategy and Product Marketing for McKesson RelayHealth. Scott was on the Board of Directors of Dossia, an open personal health platform, from 2007-2011. She also spent more than 30 years with AT&T where she led multiple product organizations and provided strategic thought leadership on key corporate projects. Scott received a certificate in Healthcare Leadership from the Harvard School of Public Health. She also has an MBA in Marketing from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
Dr. Andrew Mellin
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Mellin has almost 20 years of experience as both a practicing physician and healthcare executive. He brings an extensive background in health information technology including leading physician adoption programs for new technologies and developing innovative clinical solutions. Previous to joining Spok he was VP, Medical Director at RedBrick Health, where he helped health systems drive employee engagement of consumer-oriented population health and well-being solutions. Prior to RedBrick Health, Dr. Mellin spent 15 years at McKesson in various positions where he served as Medical Director for McKesson’s population health analytics solutions, developed a novel real-time quality solution for hospitals, and led physician strategy and product management for the electronic health record. He previously served as Medical Director for Allina Health’s Davies Award-winning implementation of an electronic health record at nine hospitals and 60 clinics across Minnesota. Dr. Mellin received his M.D. from Duke University in Durham, N.C., and his MBA from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management. He trained in Internal Medicine at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., and is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Nat'e Guyton, RN, MSN, CPHIMS, NE-BC
Chief Nursing Officer
Parker-Guyton is a nurse and clinical leader with over 15 years of healthcare experience. She joined Spok from Trinity Health-Mercy Health System where she was the Chief Clinical Informatics Officer. In that role she directed information technology integrations, oversaw clinical workflow redesigns, and served in multiple advisory roles throughout the system. Before becoming CCIO, Guyton was also Chief Nurse Officer at Mercy Suburban Hospital, Senior Director of Nursing Operations at St. Francis Hospital (Delaware), and Nurse Manager of Cardiac Transplant and Telemetry at Temple University Hospital. During her career she has led efforts to increase information literacy, meet standards and policy initiatives for meaningful use, implement computerized provider order entry solutions, and develop various electronic health record platforms. Parker-Guyton is a certified critical care nurse and has Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Nursing from Widener University, a Post Master’s certificate in Healthcare Administration from Villanova University, a Post Master's Certificate in Healthcare Informatics from Drexel University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Management in Organizational Leadership, Organization Development from the University of Phoenix.
