We regularly seek talented, motivated individuals to join our successful team. We post open positions available for all of our locations on our website. Spok gladly accepts online applications for any of our open positions. The following information will provide you with an overview of the application and interview process at Spok.
WHAT TO EXPECT
THE APPLICATION PROCESS
To apply for a job, you will need to log in to the online job system. Before you begin the online application process, here are a few tips:
When you click on “apply now” for a particular job, the system will prompt you to enter your email address and password. If this is your first time applying for a job through the online system, you will be required to register and create a password.
You will need an electronic version of your resume so that you can submit it to us online once you have successfully registered and logged into the system.
Allow yourself up to 15 minutes to complete the online application form (for U.S.-based open positions only).
PREPARING YOUR RESUME
All resumes should be submitted with your online application. During the application process, you will be asked to copy and paste your resume into a text box. You are also able to attach a copy of your resume. General tips for your resume are as follows:
Include essential personal contact information (name, email address, home phone, mobile phone, and mailing address)
Include all educational institutions attended, degrees, and GPA
Include job titles, employers, dates of employment, and key accomplishments in each role
Include additional accomplishments including awards, publications, presentations, professional organizations, and other projects related to the position
Recommended uploaded file types include Microsoft Word Document (.doc, .docx), Adobe Portable Document Format (.pdf) or Text Document (.txt, .rtf, .rtx)
THE INTERVIEW PROCESS
Once you apply for a job, your skills and experience will be reviewed.
If you are a possible match for a position, Spok will contact you. You may be asked to complete an additional short questionnaire to help us learn more about your qualifications and experience. The questionnaire typically takes about 5 minutes.
If your application and questionnaire determine you are a potential fit for the job, you will be asked to participate in a phone interview. The phone interview will further assess your technical skills, experience, and education and give you the opportunity to ask questions about Spok. Phone interviews typically last 20-30 minutes.
The onsite interview process will evaluate your technical skills. During the process, you may meet with several current Spok employees from both management and potential colleagues. The onsite interview process may be broken into a couple of days and last up to a few hours.
Once the interviews have taken place, Spok will decide if you are the right fit for the position. In some cases it may take a few weeks to make a definitive decision, as we take hiring seriously and want to be sure it is a good fit for both parties. Feel free to contact Human Resources at any time throughout the interview process.
