Scaling the Charts

Healthcare Informatics released its 2015 HCI 100 this week, and I’m proud to report that Spok has made the list for the sixth consecutive year—and with our highest ranking to date. Compiled for more than 20 years, the Healthcare Informatics 100 listing provides its readers with a unique information resource and financial overview of vendors active in the healthcare IT market. Over the past year, we’ve introduced new releases of our communication and collaboration solutions to enhance the user experience, support greater interoperability with third-party mobile applications, and improve clinical workflows for our customers. Last fall we debuted the latest version of our secure texting solution, Spok Mobile®, and recently updated the app with new features and functionality that incorporate feedback and requests from our global customer base. We even launched a free version of the software so clinicians everywhere can try it out.

Additionally, we’ve steadily rolled out new releases of our contact center, clinical alerting, and critical test results management solutions so our critical communication solutions evolve with our customers and with the technology available.

We’ve also welcomed more than 200 new customers to our Spok family, including many international customers in the APAC and EMEA regions. We spend nearly every week on the road visiting our customers, whether it’s attending an event and meeting with many of them over the span of a few days, or spending one-on-one time with individuals on their hospital’s campus.

Finally, and most importantly to us, our customers see us as trusted partners and continue to come to us for their critical communication needs. They return to us time and again as they build out their communication suites and add new functionality to support communications throughout their facilities. We’re always thrilled to help customers improve workflows and embark on new initiatives. It is an honor and a pleasure to be collaborators in the mission to provide excellent patient care.

Prior to joining Spok, he was vice president, clinical solutions at Siemens Health Services, and enterprise vice president and general manager, radiology, cardiology, and enterprise imaging at Cerner Corporation.
